Here we have an amazing sounding 1973 Guild D35. Loud, clear, punchy with a super comfortable neck.
Top is spruce, back, sides and neck are mahogany. Bridge and fingerboard are rosewood. Built in the USA. Original bone nut, new Tusq saddle and at some point in it`s life the tuners have been upgraded to Schaller. They`re branded Schaller West Germany so they are pre 1990.
There is minor fretwear, slight denting in the fingerboard at the open chord positions, frets are level, neck relief is to Taylor spec, the action hovers around 6.5/64`s at the 12th fret. The clearcoat on the top has crackling going on, as expected with a 51 year old guitar, small dents and dings on the body and headstock show this is a total player. Pickguard is original. Bridge pins are new Martin pins and currently she`s strung with Martin lights.
Very responsive guitar at a nice price for a vintage USA made Guild.
