Collection: Akai Professional
Authorized Akai Professional dealer
Akai Professional was founded in 1984, and its MPC has been at the heart of beatmaking ever since the original MPCs of the late 1980s. We keep MPCs in our Peterborough store, so you can get your hands on the pads before you buy, plus MPK keyboards and controllers for your computer setup.

MPC: the beat machine
Akai says MPCs have shaped the sound and culture of modern music production for nearly 40 years, and that the original MPCs of the late 1980s set the visual and creative foundation for modern beatmaking and hip-hop. Today's MPCs are standalone: sample, sequence and finish tracks without a computer.
The new ones even wear the old colours. Come and try the pads.
- MPC Sample
The MPC60, in your bag
Akai: a portable sampler, sequencer and effects processor inspired by the classic MPC60 design.
- MPC One G2
Blue, like the MPC1000
Akai: inspired by the blue colourways of the classic MPC4000 and MPC1000, for fast, hands-on beatmaking without a computer.
- MPC Key 37 G2
Keys plus pads
Akai: a standalone MPC keyboard with 37 synth-action keys and MPC pads, in the cream colourway of the original late-'80s MPCs.
- MPC Live III Retro
The retro look
Akai: MPC Live III with a retro look inspired by the original MPCs of the late 1980s. Ours is on pre-order, and our listing says the ETA is still to be announced by Akai.

I had an excellent experience with Maars Music. Markus went above and beyond to help me update the firmware on my DJ mixer. I had spent quite a while trying to figure it out but the instruction's weren't much help. Markus knew exactly what to do and had it sorted out quickly.
It’s refreshing to deal with someone who has that level of knowledge and is willing to take the time to help. The customer service was outstanding and it’s clear they genuinely care about their customers.
If you’re looking for knowledgeable staff and great service, I highly recommend Maars Music. Thanks again, Markus!
bought an amplifier recently, I'm located in Vancouver area. Seamless purchase via website. Edwin contacted me immediately to advise that it wasn't available due to a stock error, but offered me a reasonable option or to wait for new stock. I chose to wait, but had the amp in my hands within 2 weeks along with 2 sets of complimentary guitar strings. Edwin's customer service and communication were outstanding. He took ownership and kept me informed throughout. Highly recommend this business!
I have taken two devices into Maar's music to be serviced by there certified Apple Technicians and both times they have done an amazing job. One was a warranty repair and the other was an out of warranty battery replacement. Super impressed with their speed and service. Will definitely be back. Very convenient to not have to drive all the way to an Apple Store.
