The Danelectro Glitter '59 takes the classic Shorthorn double-cutaway '59 and dresses it in a sparkling black/gold glitter finish with a black pickguard and black side tape. Two vintage Lipstick single-coil pickups give it that bright, jangly Dano sound heard on countless records, and the traditional bridge with a Pau Ferro saddle keeps it true to the 1950s originals.
The semi-hollow body with a center block is light and resonant, with good sustain. The bolt-on maple neck has a comfortable C shape, a 14" radius rosewood fretboard with 21 frets and a 25" scale, so it plays easily for surf, rock, indie and roots.
