Faith FKN Naked Neptune Acoustic Guitar

The Neptune is a baby-jumbo with a 16" lower bout, so you get the projection of a big acoustic without the bulk of a full 17" jumbo. It's based on Patrick James Eggle's "Saluda" shape, and it suits players who want power and volume from a body that's still comfortable to hold.

This is a Naked series guitar, which means Faith strips away the cosmetic extras and puts the effort into the wood. The top is solid Engelmann spruce over solid Indonesian mahogany back and sides, with no laminates. A two-stage satin finish covers the whole guitar, so the wood can resonate with very little restriction and the sound is livelier than you'd expect at this price. Mahogany gives a warm, sweet tone with a focus on the midrange, which makes it a natural fit for strumming and accompaniment and helps it sit well in a mix.

Inside, hand-scalloped quarter-sawn spruce bracing follows the Patrick James Eggle X-brace design. The mahogany neck has an Indonesian ebony fingerboard with a mother-of-pearl "F" at the 12th fret. A 2mm abalone rosette, an ebony bridge with abalone-dotted pins and chrome tuners keep the look simple. A padded Faith gig bag is included.
