Faith FKNEBK Naked Neptune Electro-Acoustic Guitar, Black Stain

This guitar has the all-solid-wood construction of Faith's Naked series in a dark thru-black finish with black hardware. It's a baby-jumbo Neptune, so you get big acoustic power without the size of a full 17" jumbo.

The finish is a hand-rubbed black stain rather than sprayed paint, and spruce and mahogany absorb it differently. On the spruce top some areas take more stain than others, so no two guitars look the same. Some come out a fairly uniform black, while others show more of the wood grain.

The Neptune shape is based on Patrick James Eggle's "Saluda" design, with a 16" lower bout. This FKNEBK has a full non-cutaway body, which gives it plenty of power across the range when played acoustically. The top is solid Engelmann spruce over solid Indonesian mahogany back and sides. As with all Naked models, the cosmetic extras are stripped away and the satin finish is thin, so the wood can resonate freely.

The mahogany neck has an ebony fingerboard, and the black fittings match the finish. For plugging in, it has a Fishman Sonitone system with an under-saddle pickup and unobtrusive volume and tone controls mounted just inside the soundhole. The output jack is built into the strap button at the base of the guitar, and a padded gig bag is included.
