Faith FKSE12 Naked Saturn 12-String Electro-Acoustic Guitar

The Saturn is one of the original Faith shapes, a square-shouldered dreadnought based on early 20th-century designs. In the FKSE12 it comes as a 12-string, so you get the full, chiming sound of doubled strings with the volume and projection of a big dreadnought body. It's a strong choice for strumming, and it fills a room, a stage or a recording with plenty of mid-range power.

It's part of Faith's Naked series, which drops the cosmetic extras and concentrates on the wood. The top is solid Engelmann spruce and the back and sides are solid Indonesian mahogany, with no laminates. The two-stage satin finish over the whole guitar is thin so the wood can resonate freely, and the tone should keep opening up as the guitar ages. Hand-scalloped quarter-sawn spruce bracing follows the Patrick James Eggle X-brace design.

The satin-finished mahogany neck carries an Indonesian ebony fingerboard with a mother-of-pearl "F" inlay at the 12th fret, and the ebony bridge has abalone-dotted bridge pins. Chrome tuners and a two-way truss rod keep it stable and easy to adjust.

For plugging in, it has a Fishman Presys1 preamp with a Sonicore under-saddle pickup, so it's ready for gigs, rehearsals and recording. It comes with a padded Faith gig bag.
